This song is a tribute to the black teenager Michael Brown who was shot dead by the police in Missouri.
I am moved by the message of this song, the plead for freedom and justice for the people of the world. I applaud him for the music and the lyrics of this song. Even though only 3 chords are used throughout the song, that’s all that is enough to bring awareness to the events that happened on that fateful day. There are also eyewitness reports that J.Cole has added to the song which gives us more insight into the situation of the events and how the events took place.
