BLAKE SHELTON - Good Country Song

This song is from the album BRINGING BACK THE SUNSHINE(2014) released on September 30, 2014.
I loved the production and the performance by Blake in this song. The guitars are interesting and the vocals sound nostalgic. The rhythm is good, but it could have been better, the rolls and fill-ins don't sound satisfying. The bass is good and it suits really well with the song.

[INTRO] B Bmaj7 E
[VERSE]
B
Shotgun in my daddy's truck
Bmaj7
Eight years old and acting tough
    E
He smiled at me and said, "You shift the gears"
B
He would search that FM dial
    Bmaj7
And I would count down every mile
         E
Til the station out of Tulsa came in clear
      Abm F#
It was old Thomas Conley on the radio
    E C#
It punched me in the gut, man, it rattled my soul

[CHORUS]
                   B F# E
I'm talking bout a good country song
E
Makes you smile, makes you hurt
E
Leaves you hanging on every word
   B F# E
A good country song
E
Makes you love, makes you leave
E
Raise some hell or hit your knees
Abm
All I know is I think of home
      F#
Grab my guitar and strum along
B C#
Kick on back and sip me something strong
              E F# B
When I hear a good country song

[VERSE]
B
While hip-hop, rap, and rock were cool
Bmaj7
I was in my basement getting schooled
    E
On George and Keith and Vernon Alabama
      B
I was learning bout those neon lights
Bmaj7
Wasted days and wasted nights
    E
And honky-tonks from Texas to Montana
          Abm
And when my fingers found the fret board
   F#
I close my eyes and sing
   E C#
I swear that beat up guitar only played one thing

[CHORUS]
                   B F# E
I'm talking bout a good country song
E
Makes you smile, makes you hurt
E
Leaves you hanging on every word
   B F# E
A good country song
E
Makes you love, makes you leave
E
Raise some hell or hit your knees
Abm
All I know is I think of home
      F#
Grab my guitar and strum along
B C#
Kick on back and sip me something strong
              E F# E
When I hear a good country song

[INSTRUMENTAL] B Bmaj7 E F#

[BRIDGE]
         Abm
Yeah, it makes me think of days long gone
F#
Miss my dad and call my mom
B C#
Run, laugh, and pray, and drink til dawn
               E F#
When I hear a good country
  C#m F# C#m F# E B
A good old country, a good country song
