FALL OUT BOY - Jet Pack Blues

This song is from the album American Beauty / American Psycho(2015).
This song has got a really strange pattern. The production feels strange, the power and energy that you feel in Fall Out Boy's usual songs cannot be felt in this one. However, this song has got a completely separate feel. And I love it. The lyrics are different, the energy and the vibe are different. All these things make the song interesting to listen to. However, I feel that the lyrics are not the best.

[INTRO] Em
[VERSE]
Em
I got those jet pack blues
Em
Just like Judy
                    C G
The kind that make June feel like September
Em
I’m the last one that you’ll ever remember

          Em
And I’m trying to find my peace of mind
Em C
Behind these two white highway lines
           G
When the city goes silent
G
The ringing in my ears gets violent

[PRE-CHORUS]
             Em C G
She’s in a long black coat tonight
               Em C G
Waiting for me in the downpour outside
               Em C G
She’s singing “Baby come home” in a melody of tears
             Em C G
While the rhythm of the rain keeps time

[CHORUS]
                 C
And I remember ”Baby, come home”
D Em G
I remember ”Baby, come home”
             C
I remember “Baby, come home”
D Em G
I remember "Baby, come home"

               C
Did you ever love her? Do you know?
D Em G
Or did you never want to be alone?
                       C
And she was singing “Baby, come home”
D Em G
"Baby, come home"

Em
I’ve got those jet pack blues
Em C G
Fight off the light tonight and just stay with me

Honey, don’t you leave

           Em
Don’t you remember how we used to split a drink?
Em
It never mattered what it was
  C G
I think our hands were just that close
G
The sweetness never lasted, no
