BECK - Morning

This song is from the album Morning Phase(2014), released on Feb 25, 2014.
I loved the beautiful melancholy in this song. The heavily reverbed vocals feel close yet distant and lonely. The lyrics add a nice eeriness to the song and makes it worth the listen. No wonder this album got the Grammy. I loved the production and the slow rhythm that makes you wanna dance with the person right next to you. What do you think about this song? Comment below.

Woke up this morning, found a love light in the storm

Looked up this morning, saw the roses full of thorns

Guns are falling, they don't have nowhere to go

Oceans of diamonds always shine, smooth out below

Won't you show me the way it used to be?

E A Abm F#m E A Abm F#m
Wrote it all down into something that couldn't be said
E A Abm F#m E A Abm F#m
I tore it all down and buried me underneath the wave

It was just you and me this morning

I fought all my guesses this morning

Won't you show me the way it could've been?
