KENNY CHESNEY - Save It For A Rainy Day

This song is from the album The Big Revival(2014), released on 23 September 2014.
I enjoyed the production and the hope in the message of this song. The performance and the rendering by Kenny was really interesting. The choruses felt really nice and the background music made it really interesting. I liked the tone of the guitar and the instrumental leads in between the verses.

[INTRO] G Em C D G x2
[VERSE]
          G Gmaj7 Em D
It's no secret that lately there ain't no escape
          C D G
And that I've been waking up alone
     G Gmaj7 Em D
Just me and the TV and a sinking feeling
      C D G
That you ain't ever coming home
      Em D C G
But today, the tears ain't gonna hit the floor
             G Gmaj7 Em D
Cause the boat's in the bay and it's calling my name
          C D G
So I'm heading on out the door

[CHORUS]
           C G
Cause the sun's too bright, the sky's too blue
 D G
Beer's too cold to be thinking bout you
       C G
Gonna take this heartbreak and tuck it away
C D G
Save it for a rainy day

[INSTRUMENTAL] G Em C D G

[VERSE]
          G Gmaj7 Em D
When I turned the ignition I knew I'd been missing
     C D G
The feel of the wind on my face
       G Gmaj7 Em D
I was stuck in a habit of wondering what happened
     C D G
Two days you're taking all the blame
        Em D C G
Got a drink, or two, that's as fool proof as it'll ever be
          G Gmaj7 Em D
It's a beautiful world with a beautiful girl
C D G
Kinda making eyes at me

[CHORUS]
           C G
Cause the sun's too bright, the sky's too blue
 D G
Beer's too cold to be thinking bout you
       C G
Gonna take this heartbreak and tuck it away
C D G
Save it for a rainy day
             C G
Yeah, the music's too good, my friends are all out
            D G
And they're all too high to be bringing them down
        C G
If they ask about you, I've got nothing to say
     C D G
I'll save it for a rainy day

[INSTRUMENTAL] C G D G x2

[BRIDGE]
            G Gmaj7 Em D
There'll be plenty of time for what ifs and why's
      C D G
And how'd I let you get away
         G Gmaj7 Em D
But the lying in bed all stuck in my head
     C
Is just gonna have to wait

[CHORUS]
           C G
Cause the sun's too bright, the sky's too blue
 D G
Beer's too cold to be thinking bout you
       C G
Gonna take this heartbreak and tuck it away
C D G
Save it for a rainy day
             C G
Yeah, the music's too good, my friends are all out
            D G
And they're all too high to be bringing them down
        C G
If they ask about you, I've got nothing to say
     C D G
I'll save it for a rainy day

       C G
Gonna take this heartbreak and tuck it away
