ADAM LAMBERT – Ghost Town

This song is from the album The Original High(2015), released on Jun 16, 2015.
Even though I enjoyed the composition and the power in the song, the production kinda destroyed the mood of the song. The synths and the bass felt uninspiring and plain. Had the song been piano and guitars, it would have been a different case. The production is what destroyed this song. All the other parts are excellent.

[INTRO] C Em G Am
[VERSE]
C Em
Died last night in my dreams
                G
Walking the streets
                   Am
Of some old ghost town
C Em
I tried to believe
            G
In God and James Dean
                  Am
But Hollywood sold out

C Em
Saw all of the saints
              G
Lock up the gates
              Am
I could not enter
C Em
Walked into the flames
                  G
Called out your name
                   Am
But there was no answer

[CHORUS]
Am Em
And now I know my heart is a ghost town
                      C Em G Am
My heart is a ghost town
                       C Em G Am
My heart is a ghost town
                      C Em G Am
My heart is a ghost town

[VERSE]
C Em
Died last night in my dreams
           G
All the machines
              Am
Had been disconnected
C Em
Time was thrown at the wind
                G
And all of my friends
                Am
Had been disaffected

C Em
Now, I'm searching for trust
              G
In a city of rust
             Am
A city of vampires
C Em
Tonight, Elvis is dead
                 G
And everyone's spread
               Am
And love is a satire

[CHORUS]
Am Em
And now I know my heart is a ghost town
                      C Em G Am
My heart is a ghost town
                       C Em G Am
My heart is a ghost town
                      C Em G Am
My heart is a ghost town

[BRIDGE]
C D
There's no one left in the world
         Em
I'm gunslingin'
 Em
Don't give a damn if I go
Em
Down, down, down
C D
I got a voice in my head that keeps singing
Em
Oh, my heart is a ghost town

[CHORUS]
Am Em
And now I know my heart is a ghost town
                      C Em G Am
My heart is a ghost town
                       C Em G Am
My heart is a ghost town
                      C Em G Am
My heart is a ghost town
