This song is from the album Grand Romantic(2015), released on June 16, 2015.
I loved the power and energy in this song, but I hated the speech in the pre-chorus. It had a heavy distorted tone and kinda took your attention from the song. The energy in his vocals was great, especially through the chorus.

[INTRO] Dm
[VERSE]
Dm
Left you, falling on the floor
Dm
Headed for the door
Dm
Went straight to Philadelphia
Dm
Oh no, what have I begun?
Dm
Called my mother, said I love her
Dm
Had another and another one
Dm
Questions, questions, suddenly suggestions
Dm
Where was anyone at the start of this thing?
Dm
Hold the cold up over your shoulder
Dm
All I needs a place to grieve

[PRE-CHORUS]
Bb F
Oh, it's for the best you didn't listen
Am Dm C
It's for the best we get our distance (oh oh woah oh)
Bb F
It's for the best you didn't listen

It's for the best we get our distance

[CHORUS]
F Gm
Oh lord, I feel alive
Am Bb C
I've gone and saved my soul
   F Gm
If all that you read is everything you believe
        Am Bb C
Then let go, then let go, then let go

[VERSE]
Dm
Now I'm over my head
Dm
Acting like I never started over again
Dm
I am the city I'm from
Dm
Always wanting more than just a word on my arm
Dm
Oh, I know, I can't believe
Dm
That I'd let it get to me
Dm
Good to know I won't become
Dm
Everything I'm afraid of

[PRE-CHORUS]

Oh, it's for the best you didn't listen

Mama don't cry

I was once your little baby boy
Dm
So full of love and light
Bb C
By the time I turned 25
        F C
I was lost among the pavement
Dm C
Lower than the basement

And I couldn't stand and smile
C F C Dm C
I thought of taking my own life

I found songs among the tragic
Dm C

Now that we got bottom lines
